Privacy Pools: Balancing Anonymity and Compliance
According to the paper, the Privacy Pools protocol allows s to publish zero-knowledge proofs, demonstrating that their funds do not originate from known unlawful sources without revealing their entire transaction history. This is achieved by proving hip in custom association sets that are in line with certain properties required by regulation or social consensus.

Railgun is a privacy protocol on Ethereum network that has incorporated the Privacy Pools mechanism to maintain privacy of the while preventing misuse of the platform for illegal activities.
